Formerly the WV Basic Skills Project Office, the Tools for Schools Elementary Project Office coordinates activities in the fulfillment of the Basic Skills/Computer Education contract. In mid-2006, the WV Department of Education combined the Basic Skills and SUCCESS projects under the name Twenty-first Century Tools for Twenty-First Century Schools. Tools for Schools Elementary (the new name for the Basic Skills aspect) provides state K-6 schools with computer-based educational solutions. The Project Office integrates and installs products from a variety of vendors and subcontractors and delivers professional development for teachers and comprehensive technical support.
